McGongall is a half blood witch who excels at and teaches the art of transfiguration at Hogwarts. She is also an Animagus, taking the form of a tabby cat, much to Rons initial amazement. ('Bloody Hell'). She is Dumbledores closest Ally and confident. She is a strict disciplinarian but always has the good of her students at the heart of everything she does.
